The Shipping & Receiving Specialist plays an essential role in accurately receiving incoming goods and preparing customer orders for shipment. Working closely with the Shipping & Receiving Department Lead, this position verifies and delivers incoming materials to the appropriate departments or storage locations, maintains organized inventory and shipping areas, and helps ensure customer orders are packed correctly and shipped on time. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, organized, comfortable using computers, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
Shipping & Order Fulfillment Pick, pack, label, and prepare finished products for shipment according to customer order specifications. Process shipments using NetSuite
ERP, UPS
WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and customer logistics portals. Verify shipment contents, quantities, and documentation before orders leave the facility. Assist in ensuring customer orders are shipped accurately and on time. Receiving & Inventory Safely position, lift, and remove the portable metal dock plate used to bridge the loading dock and delivery trailers when loading and unloading materials. Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders. Inspect incoming materials for visible damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues promptly. Deliver received materials to the appropriate production departments. Assist with maintaining accurate finished goods and shipping inventory records. Participate in cycle counts and other inventory accuracy initiatives. Monitor shipping supply inventory and notify the Shipping & Receiving Lead when replenishment is needed. Department Operations Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area. Follow all company safety procedures and shipping policies. Safely operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment. Communicate shipping, receiving, or inventory issues promptly to the Shipping & Receiving Lead. Collaborate with Customer Service, Purchasing, Production, and other departments to support efficient operations. Assist with departmental projects and perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, or a manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn new software. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment. Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic. Preferred Qualifications Experience using UPS WorldShip and/or FedEx Ship Manager. Experience with NetSuite ERP or another enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Pay:
$17.50 - $20.00 per hour
