Job Description
Shipping Clerk We are currently seeking candidates with shipping experience and initiative to take ownership of their work for an advanced coatings production company in Akron. We are looking for someone who wants a career and is willing to train to take on extra responsibility. This position is not forklift operation or material handling, it is predominately shipping duties, labeling and packaging using various shipping and inventory software, however will also help in other areas most days as well.
Pay:
$20.00/hour (raise to $22.00 after hired by the customer)Shift:
8:00am- 4:30pm, Monday
Friday Key Responsibilities:
Verify order accuracy and inspect products for damage Package and label various sized products for shipment, following DOT requirements Use computers to create shipping labels and documentation Operate shipping software (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS- will be trained if needed) to track shipments and update order statuses Some loading of trucks (duties split between several employees) Occasional use of a forklift to move/load products
