Basic computer skills required, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience using ERP, MRP, or inventory management systems preferred. Ability to read and understand shipping documents, purchase orders, packing slips, and inventory records. Experience Requirements 3-5 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, inventory control, or logistics experience preferred. Food manufacturing, production, or distribution experience strongly preferred. Experience with inventory tracking, order processing, and shipping documentation. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while supporting multiple departments. Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence. Physical Capabilities Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periods. Frequent use of computers and inventory management systems throughout the day. Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 pounds. Ability to move throughout warehouse, shipping, receiving, and production areas as needed. Must be able to follow all food safety, quality, and workplace safety requirements. Job Duties Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, parts, and supplies for accuracy, quality, and damage. Compare shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving documents. Enter receiving and inventory information into ERP and inventory management systems. Label, organize, and store materials in designated warehouse locations. Prepare finished goods and materials for shipment according to customer and company requirements. Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, packing slips, and other shipping documentation. Coordinate shipments with carriers, freight companies, vendors, and internal departments. Load and unload shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment when required. Maintain accurate inventory records, process transactions, perform cycle counts, and assist with physical inventories. Communicate shortages, discrepancies, damaged materials, and inventory concerns to management. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area while following OSHA, food safety, and company quality standards. Collaborate with production, purchasing, and operations teams to support efficient material flow and on-time shipments. What You Will Do As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk you will receive incoming shipments, inspect materials, prepare outbound orders, verify inventory, organize warehouse stock, complete shipping and receiving documentation, and help maintain accurate inventory records. You will safely move products throughout the warehouse while supporting efficient shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment operations. A Shipping and Receiving Clerk contributes to efficient warehouse operations by helping products move safely and accurately from receiving through final shipment.
