is seeking motivated, safety-focused individuals to join our Shipping & Receiving team in Mount Vernon, Ohio. This role is responsible for accurately loading, unloading, scanning, verifying, and securing windows, patio doors, glass, screens, and related products for shipment while ensuring product quality and on-time delivery to customers. Associates use handheld scanners, tablets, carts, and forklifts (training provided where applicable) to track inventory, verify shipping information, maintain proper loading sequences, and secure products to prevent damage during transportation. Team members are expected to follow established quality standards, perform visual inspections, identify and report product concerns, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while working efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Job Requirements Qualified candidates must be able to work safely while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and high-visibility apparel. Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, the ability to accurately follow shipping procedures and quality standards, and the capability to frequently lift over 50lbs, move, stack, secure, and handle windows, doors, glass, screens, and other materials. The position requires basic computer and scanning device operation, effective communication skills, dependability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Prior manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, receiving, material handling, or forklift experience is required. Successful associates must demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement while supporting JELD-WEN's goal of delivering defect-free products to customers.
