Works in receiving to check shipments that are primarily production materials or company supplies, or checks outgoing shipments of finished products.

Job Description

Hours of Job FT - Day Shift Some weekends and holidays Duties and Key Responsibilities The daily receipt of linen inventories, stocking, and dispensing. Perform linen distribution process, as well as monitor quality of the linen being delivered to the designated linen closets. Responsible for removing damaged linen from inventory. Processes linen orders as appropriate. Accurately completes paperwork to eliminate errors in receiving and distribution. Assists in the development of schedules. Maintains established hospital and departmental policies, procedures, objectives, quality assessment, guest relations, infection control and a safe work environment. Maintains confidentiality of patient and departmental information. Maintains professional standards by participating in in-services, committees, etc. Performs other duties as assigned. Print jobs as needed in the Print Shop. Sorts and Runs mail machine. Requirements Requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity, eye hand coordination, standing and walking for extended periods. Periods of repetitive pulling and tugging of product to sort/distribute. Ability to repeatedly lift weights of 50# overhead to a height of 60". Frequent twisting and bending of the body. Education/Certifications High school graduate or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office and PDF software. Ability to learn and work with different software applications. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks efficiently. Good communication and customer service skills.
