Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our warehouse and logistics team in Tallmadge, OH. This role is responsible for handling domestic and international shipments, receiving incoming materials, operating material handling equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and company procedures. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, forklift operation skills, and strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Prepare, pack, label, and process domestic and international shipments in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Receive incoming materials, inspect deliveries for accuracy and condition, and complete required documentation.
Load and unload freight using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Safely transport materials throughout the warehouse while following all safety guidelines.
Support hazardous material and air freight shipping activities in compliance with IATA and DOT regulations.
Verify shipping documentation, bills of lading, packing lists, and inventory records for accuracy.
Maintain organized warehouse storage locations and ensure materials are properly identified and stored.
Utilize SAP and other systems to process transactions, manage inventory, and track shipments.
Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory control activities.
Communicate with internal departments, carriers, and logistics partners to resolve shipping and receiving issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
ious experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics operations preferred.
Forklift operation experience required; forklift certification is a plus.
Experience with SAP or similar inventory management systems preferred.
Knowledge of shipping documentation, inventory control, and warehouse best practices.
Familiarity with hazardous materials shipping, IATA, and DOT regulations is strongly preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
