Ticketing Warehouse Worker Job Description This role focuses on supporting warehouse and distribution operations through accurate picking, packing, receiving, and general material handling. You will use RF scanners and other warehouse tools to process orders efficiently, maintain a safe and organized work area, and help ensure that shipments are prepared and shipped on time. The position requires continuous movement throughout the shift and the physical capability to meet demanding warehouse requirements. Responsibilities Perform continuous movement throughout the shift, including walking, standing, bending, lifting, and carrying to meet daily operational demands. Accurately pick products from inventory according to order requirements, ensuring correct quantities, item numbers, and locations. Use handheld RF scanners and warehouse management systems to locate, scan, and track items during picking and inventory activities. Safely and securely pack products to prevent damage during transit, using appropriate packing materials and methods. Label packages correctly and prepare them for shipment, following established shipping and ticketing procedures. Receive and unload trucks, ensuring shipments are processed promptly and directed to the appropriate storage or staging areas. Verify shipping and receiving documents, including packing slips and bills of lading, and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing goods. Handle materials throughout the warehouse, including moving, stacking, and organizing products with manual and powered equipment such as forklifts, when authorized and trained. Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock replenishment to keep inventory levels accurate and products readily available. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following housekeeping standards and promptly addressing potential hazards. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, including proper use of equipment and adherence to established workflows. Work in a fast-paced environment, meeting productivity targets, pick rate goals, and shipping deadlines while maintaining high accuracy. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve issues, support peak workloads, and ensure smooth warehouse operations. Essential Skills Ability to perform continuous physical activity throughout the shift, including walking, standing, bending, and lifting. Ability to lift, carry, and move packages up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly. Experience with packing and material handling in a warehouse or distribution environment, or strong willingness to learn. Proficiency using RF scanners or handheld scanning devices to track inventory and process orders. Ability to accurately pick orders and pull products based on specific order requirements. Basic computer skills to operate warehouse management systems and related software. Strong attention to detail and accuracy when picking, packing, labeling, and recording shipments. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines and productivity goals. Willingness to follow established safety guidelines, policies, and procedures at all times. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous warehouse or distribution experience is a plus but not required. Experience operating forklifts or other powered material handling equipment is an asset when properly trained and certified. Familiarity with order pulling, ticketing, and shipping processes in a warehouse setting. Comfort working with warehouse technology, including RF scanners and basic computer-based inventory systems.
