If so, PCI Auctions may be the place for you! We are looking for a Shipping Administrative Assistant to join our growing team. This position works directly with the Shipping Office Manager and is responsible for helping move customer invoices and auction purchases through the shipping and pickup process. This is an administrative position, but it is NOT a traditional, sit-behind-a-desk office job. You will be working in and around an active auction warehouse, communicating with customers, working with our warehouse team, handling paperwork, solving problems, and helping keep the shipping process moving from sold → processed → picked up or shipped. What You'll Do You'll help keep the administrative side of our shipping operation organized, accurate, and moving forward.
Your responsibilities will include:
Work closely with the Shipping Office Manager to move customer invoices through the shipping process Process and organize shipping and customer pickup paperwork Communicate with customers by phone, text, and email Assist customers with questions regarding shipping, pickups, invoices, and auction purchases Coordinate information between customers, the shipping office, warehouse staff, and carriers Track shipping and pickup information and follow up on outstanding items Enter and maintain accurate information in company systems Prepare, print, and organize shipping documents, labels, manifests, and related paperwork Help verify auction lots, customer information, and shipping details for accuracy Research shipping, freight, equipment, and customer questions when needed Identify problems and help find solutions rather than simply passing them along Assist with customer pickups and communicate with drivers and carriers Work with the warehouse team to locate auction items and verify lots when necessary Help keep shipping records and paperwork organized Assist the Shipping Office Manager with projects and process improvements Take on miscellaneous administrative tasks and projects as needed Jump in and help wherever needed to keep the operation moving

This is not a "cushy" office job! We want to be very upfront about this. PCI Auctions is an active auction warehouse. While you'll spend a good portion of your day handling administrative and computer-based work, you will also regularly be in the warehouse.
You must be comfortable:
Walking through an active warehouse Locating equipment, auction lots, and customer purchases Checking items against paperwork Communicating with warehouse employees, customers, truck drivers, and carriers Working around equipment, pallets, boxes, and auction inventory Dealing with dust, dirt, and normal warehouse conditions Getting dirty from time to time Stepping away from the desk when the operation needs you You don't have to be a warehouse worker — but you cannot be someone who only wants to sit at a desk. We're much more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, work ethic, communication skills, and willingness to learn.
