Job Description
Warehouse Representative Responsibilities Receive and unload shipments, check in merchandise, and match purchase orders to sales orders Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped Move materials and items from receiving or storage to shipping or other designated areas and place items on racks, shelves, or bins according to established locations Assemble customer orders from stock, place orders on pallets or shelves, and prepare completed orders for shipping or mailing Record quantities of materials or items received and distributed using the appropriate computer system and assist with physical inventory counts Mark materials with identifying information, open containers, and weigh or count items for distribution as needed Assist with assembly duties as needed and complete assigned warehouse tasks accurately and efficiently Maintain a clean, organized, accessible, and safe warehouse environment Assist walk-in customers as needed and communicate professionally with coworkers, customers, and vendors Operate standard warehouse equipment, including hand trucks, box cutters, tape dispensers, and a forklift Qualifications and Skills High School Diploma or equivalent required 2-3 years of relevant warehouse experience preferred; assembly experience is also preferred Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, product information, customer orders, and other work documentation Computer literacy, including software navigation, email, word processing, and data entry Ability to perform accurate counts, follow bin-location sequencing, prepare paperwork, and maintain organized records Mechanical aptitude regarding parts, their use, application, and limitations Forklift operation is required; must be able to safely use standard warehouse equipment Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop; frequently lift 20 pounds or more and occasionally lift 50 pounds or more Ability to work in a warehouse environment with some outdoor exposure and varying temperatures Benefits/Compensation Full Time Pay Rate is $20 - $23 per hour based on experience 1st
