Working primarily overnight, this role is responsible for high-volume, accuracy-critical order fulfillment while ensuring every shipment meets Texas State Board of Pharmacy requirements, applicable USP standards, and internal quality and compliance protocols. This is a non-licensed clerical position.
Core Responsibilities:
Package and prepare compounded medication orders for shipment following pharmacist verification Build cold-chain shipments using validated packaging methods Generate shipping labels and coordinate carrier pickups Verify patient information and order contents for accuracy before sealing Maintain packaging supplies and monitor inventory levels Meet daily volume, accuracy, and turnaround targets Keep the packing and shipping area clean, organized, and audit-ready Follow HIPAA, Board of Pharmacy, and all internal compliance requirements
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Dependable and able to work overnight shifts Shipping, fulfillment, or warehouse experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
Stand and walk for extended periods Lift and carry up to 40 lbs Perform repetitive packing and handling tasks
Schedule:
1st shift
  • Monday to Friday 7am-3pm 2nd shift
  • Monday to Friday 3pm-11pm 3rd shift
  • Sunday to Thursday 11pm-7am Occasional weekend coverage as needed
Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Pharmacy Supervisor Works closely with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
Compliance Statement:
This is a non-licensed clerical role. The employee will not perform compounding, clinical review, dispensing decisions, or any duties restricted to licensed pharmacy personnel.
