We are seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Technician. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and timely shipment of products to customers. The ideal candidate is a good communicator, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Receive incoming materials, verify quantities, and inspect for damages or discrepancies. Provide complete information on damage claims for in-transit damage. Stock received inventory in appropriate locations following a FIFO system. Transport materials with a dolly or hand truck. Prepare shipments of customer orders, ensuring accuracy and safe and timely delivery. Package products securely and label them appropriately for shipping. Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, back-orders, or substitutions. Coordinate freight (pallet) pickups and drop-offs including staging, filling out BOL and scheduling pick-up. Focal point for resolving shipping issues to customers (ie lost or damaged packages), which may include calling the carrier for details and filing a claim. Collaborate with the production team to ensure adequate stock levels and efficient production flow. Maintains KANBAN inventory of materials, ingredients in bay area as well as packaging supplies. Communicate to purchasing department on low inventory materials Assist in organizing the warehouse and optimizing storage space to ensure efficient material handling and inventory management. Experience with high-reach forklifts, both propane and electric Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and maintain a clean and orderly work environment. Performs other clerical duties as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Forklift Certification (valid and OSHA-compliant) Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and reporting. Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and carriers Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Flexibility to adapt to changing situations. Knowledge of safety protocols and practices related to shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in inventory management or logistics are a plus. Experience in pick-pack-shipping parcel orders for e-commerce & local orders. Experience in prepping pallets and coordinating LTL freight pick-up.
Physical Requirement:
Frequently move around the warehouse and reach shelves by stretching, squatting, or bending. Lift up to 50 pounds when needed. Comfortable working at heights and in varying temperatures

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
