Shipping and Receiving Specialist Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate inventory control, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be proficient in data entry, basic math, and Microsoft Office tools to facilitate efficient operations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth flow of goods and maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism within our logistics team. Duties Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damages or discrepancies Prepare outgoing shipments by accurately packing items, generating shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers Maintain organized records of all shipping and receiving transactions using data entry systems Manage inventory levels by updating stock records promptly and conducting regular inventory counts Utilize Microsoft Office applications to generate reports, track shipments, and document processes Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries related to shipments and delivery status Collaborate with staff to ensure timely processing of shipments and proper storage of goods Perform basic math calculations for weight, measurements, and inventory adjustments as needed Process Return Material Authorizations Schedule and Maintain company delivery driver's daily deliveries. Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) for documentation and reporting purposes Strong basic math skills for calculations related to weights, measurements, and inventory management Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and vendors Experience with data entry to accurately record shipment details and inventory data Knowledge of inventory management practices to maintain accurate stock levels Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred but not required Join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist if you are organized, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to efficient logistics operations.
