Shipping and Receiving is responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of a company's warehouse or facility. The role involves handling shipments, ensuring inventory is accurate, and coordinating with stakeholders.
Shipping and Receiving Job Description Receiving Shipments:
Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, quality, and condition. Verify contents against purchase orders and packing lists. Record and report any damaged or missing items. Unload deliveries and organize materials in the warehouse.Processing Outgoing Shipments:
Prepare products for shipping, including packing, labeling, and weighing. Create and print shipping labels and related documents (e.g., bills of lading).Inventory Management:
Ensure that products are stored in the correct locations. Assist in cycle counting and inventory audits.Warehouse Organization:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Operate pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment as needed.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Assisting with Daily inventory cycle counts
- Assisting with back stock report
- Inventory moves throughout the warehouse
- Checking in received inventory (when needed)
- Picking/packing online orders
- Processing daily returns
- Other requests as necessary.
WHAT YOU NEED
High School diploma or GED Required Strong, accurate data entry skills Computer savvy with the ability to learn new programs quickly Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines Self-starter with the ability to work independently Ability to work on your feet, occasionally lift 30 pounds, and be able to ascend a ladderPREFERRED SKILLS
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity with G-Suite Basic Excel knowledgeHours:
