Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Clerk/Material Handler to join our logistics and warehouse operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the movement of goods, ensuring accurate shipping and receiving processes, and maintaining inventory integrity. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and a commitment to efficient logistics operations. This position plays a vital role in supporting seamless order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Duties Prepare and process outgoing shipments using shipping logistics software and ERP systems, ensuring compliance with trade regulations and international trade requirements. Receive, inspect, and document incoming inventory using RF scanners and warehouse management software; accurately record data entries into inventory management systems. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to load and unload trucks safely and efficiently. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with attention to packaging standards and order accuracy. Maintain organized stock areas through proper stocking techniques, inventory management, and regular cycle counts. Collaborate with warehouse distribution teams to coordinate the movement of goods within the facility. Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all material handling activities. Assist in maintaining accurate records of shipping & receiving transactions using AS400 or similar systems. Support international trade compliance by understanding export documentation requirements. Communicate effectively with customer service teams to resolve shipment issues or discrepancies. Experience Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics is required; familiarity with warehouse distribution processes is highly preferred. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, ERP systems (such as AS400), and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools. Hands-on experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other material handling equipment. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately. Strong data entry skills coupled with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment processes, and packaging standards. Understanding of trade compliance regulations and international trade procedures is advantageous. Excellent organizational skills with an eye for detail to ensure accuracy in inventory tracking and order processing. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
