Experienced Shipping & Receiving Clerk / Department Lead Are you an experienced shipping and receiving professional ready to take ownership of a department? Join a stable Waukesha manufacturer where you can lead daily operations, improve workflow, and keep customer shipments moving accurately and on time. Brelie Gear Company has served customers since 1930 , and many of our employees have built long careers here. We are hiring a full-time Shipping & Receiving Clerk / Department Lead for our clean, modern, climate-controlled manufacturing facility in Waukesha. The ideal candidate has hands-on shipping and receiving experience and the ability to organize daily work, guide employees, and lead the department. Why You'll Love It Here
  • Work-life balance: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.; Friday, 6:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. No nights. No weekends. No holidays.
  • Weekly pay: $20.00+/hour to start, depending on experience and leadership background.

  • Lead and coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities, setting priorities to meet customer and production deadlines.
  • Train, guide, and support department employees while promoting safety, accuracy, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Prepare steel parts by blasting and washing, then wrap, label, and package parts according to shop travelers and company procedures.
  • Accurately prepare customer shipments, including UPS and LTL freight
  • Coordinate with the shop manager and production team on parts going to and returning from outside operations.
  • Receive deliveries, verify quantities and packing slips, identify discrepancies, and route materials to the correct departments.
  • Load and unload trucks using a pallet jack and forklift.
  • Maintain organized inventory, shipping supplies, staging areas, and a safe, clean work environment.
  • Monitor workflow, resolve routine shipping issues, and recommend process improvements.
  • Communicate shipment status, priorities, and concerns to management and other departments. What We're Looking For
  • Previous shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a department, coordinate work, train employees, and hold others accountable.
  • Experience with
UPS, LTL
freight, bills of lading, packing slips, and shipping documentation.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, math, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and work independently while supporting the broader team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift experience; current certification is preferred.
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain active throughout the day.
