Role Summary We are looking for a reliable professional to oversee our shipping operations and provide administrative office support. This role requires someone comfortable navigating digital systems to manage logistics workflows and handle front-office communication effectively. Compensation and Timing The standard shift runs from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, though you should be prepared for occasional schedule adjustments to meet operational demands. The hourly rate for this position is $25.00. Core Duties Oversee and organize all incoming and outgoing freight tasks. Ensure shipments are processed efficiently through USPS, FedEx, and UPS. Utilize Microsoft Office and digital platforms to track documentation and maintain organized records. Handle incoming telephone inquiries with a polite and professional demeanor. Record messages accurately and route calls to the correct staff member. Provide context to recipients regarding the nature of incoming calls to improve internal communication. Facilitate clear dialogue with vendors, carriers, and clients to ensure smooth delivery processes. Manage the scheduling of pickups and incoming freight. Generate necessary shipping labels and essential logistics paperwork. Track active shipments to proactively address and resolve any transit complications. Keep digital and physical filing systems orderly and up to date. Support the team with various administrative tasks as required.
