Role and Responsibilities Drive a Commercial Vehicle safely while picking up and delivering granite slabs to fabricators Perform frequent lifting, pulling,pushing and carrying of freight Secure Freight may require through strapping or other methods Comply with all federal requirements regarding the transportation Inspect the vehicle before and after a trip for defects and safe operating conditions as required by law and company policy Maintain records for compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver's logs and other records required by law Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and company with all federal, state and local regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle. Obtaining signatures for delivered goods Completing all necessary paperwork Calling dispatcher and reporting any problems or irregularities with your truck Qualifications and education requirements Two years commercial driving experience Ability to pass a pre-employment Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen Must have a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) physical certification Have knowledge of state line mileage reporting Have knowledge of dot regulations Clean MVR Able to drive 10 speed Good customer skills Must be able to push/pull 75lbs. and work an all weather conditions Tow Motor experience Inventory/clerical experience Computer Knowledge Ability to pass background and driving record check'
