This position is responsible for driving operational excellence, developing leadership teams, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a proven track record in distribution management, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional results. Key Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and direction for daily distribution center operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and transportation coordination. Develop and lead supervisors and operational teams to achieve productivity, quality, safety, and service objectives. Manage labor planning, staffing levels, and operational resources to support customer requirements and business goals. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency. Ensure inventory accuracy through effective inventory control processes, cycle counting programs, and operational audits. Foster a culture of accountability, employee engagement, and professional development throughout the facility. Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure service expectations and operational commitments are consistently achieved. Lead investigations and resolution of operational issues, customer concerns, and service-related challenges. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, cost control, and process optimization. Ensure compliance with all company policies, OSHA regulations, safety standards, and operational procedures. Oversee facility performance, budget adherence, labor utilization, and operational expenses. Participate in strategic planning, forecasting, and business review activities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered. 5+ years of leadership experience within distribution, warehousing, logistics, supply chain, or fulfillment operations. Demonstrated success managing supervisors, managers, and large hourly workforces. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control, and distribution operations. Experience managing operational KPIs, labor productivity, and customer service performance metrics. Proven ability to lead through change and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Excellent communication, coaching, and team development skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and operational reporting tools. Preferred Qualifications Multi-client, third-party logistics (3PL), e-commerce, retail, or consumer goods distribution experience. Experience managing high-volume distribution facilities. Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement experience. Experience supporting customer-facing operations and service-level agreements (SLAs). Physical Requirements Ability to regularly walk throughout a warehouse environment. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to work in varying warehouse conditions and operational environments. Schedule This position requires flexibility to support business demands, including evenings, weekends, and peak operational periods as needed. Operating schedules may vary based on customer requirements and facility needs.
