Job Description
Job Description Our client, a leading distributor of aerospace and defense hardware components, based in Santa Clarita, CA, is seeking an experienced Warehouse & Quality Manager to oversee warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, quality compliance, and team performance. This role is critical to ensuring operational excellence, maintaining AS9100 certification requirements, and preventing costly shipping, inventory, and documentation errors. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in aerospace or defense manufacturing/distribution, extensive knowledge of AS9100 quality standards, and proven experience managing warehouse personnel and quality systems. This individual will serve as the primary on-site leader for warehouse oversight, quality control processes, inventory management, and compliance documentation. This position is approximately 60% warehouse operations management and 40% quality control/quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations & Leadership- Lead, mentor, and supervise 2 warehouse associates
- Verify order accuracy and ensure all required documentation is complete prior to shipment.
- Oversee inventory control activities
- Monitor warehouse workflows and proactively address issues that could impact customer deliveries or compliance requirements.
- Ensure inventory records remain accurate within the ERP system. Quality Control & Compliance
- Maintain and support compliance with AS9100 quality management requirements.
- Coordinate and participate in internal, customer, and registrar audits.
- Perform and oversee receiving inspections of incoming parts and materials.
- Conduct or review First Article Inspections (FAI) and ensure all inspection documentation is complete and accurate.
- Review Certificates of Conformance (CoCs), manufacturer certifications, test reports, and related quality documentation.
- Manage nonconforming material processes, corrective actions, and root-cause investigations.
- Ensure customers receive complete and accurate documentation packages with every shipment.

https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/. Skills and Requirements- 5+ years of experience in a Warehouse Manager, Quality Manager, Quality Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
- AS9100 experience is required
- Experience within aerospace and defense manufacturing or distribution environments.
- Experience performing or overseeing First Article Inspection (FAI) activities.
- Experience using and interpreting measurements from: Calipers, Micrometers, Thread gauges, Bore gauges, etc.
- Experience utilizing ERP systems for inventory and operational management.
- Experience working with aerospace hardware, fasteners, bearings, machined components, or similar products.
- Lean Manufacturing and/or 5S experience
- INxSQL ERP experience
