Vernon, CA Job Description Natures Produce has a career opportunity available for a motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Operations Manager for our Vernon, CA facility. Qualified individuals will thrive in a fast-paced produce distribution environment and possess strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Position Overview You will play a critical role in overseeing daily warehouse and operations activities to ensure the efficient inbound and outbound movement of product while maintaining quality, safety, productivity, and customer service standards. The Operations Manager will lead warehouse personnel, support inventory accuracy, and help drive operational excellence throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily warehouse and operational activities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ensure efficient receiving, storage, rotation, and shipping of perishable produce Monitor product quality and proper stock rotation to minimize spoilage and shrink Coordinate workflow to meet customer delivery schedules and operational demands Supervise warehouse personnel including forklift operators, loaders, and selectors Work closely with inventory, purchasing, transportation, and sales departments to maintain operational efficiency Monitor productivity and identify opportunities for process improvement Maintain accurate records and review operational reports as needed Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by upper management

Requirements:

Previous warehouse and/or operations management experience preferred, ideally within produce, food distribution, or cold storage environments Strong leadership and team management skills Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities Forklift experience and knowledge of warehouse equipment preferred Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Knowledge of produce handling, food safety, and inventory rotation practices preferred If you are a driven leader who enjoys operations, team development, and the fast-moving produce industry, we encourage you to apply and become part of the Natures Produce team.
