This pivotal role involves overseeing daily distribution center activities, optimizing processes, managing inventory, and leading a team of dedicated warehouse staff. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to process improvement, ensure safety compliance, and drive operational excellence to support our company's growth and efficiency. Duties Oversee all aspects of warehouse distribution, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and materials handling to ensure smooth operations. Lead, motivate, and manage warehouse staff, fostering a positive team environment focused on safety, productivity, and continuous improvement. Implement process improvements utilizing lean management principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste across warehouse activities. Operate and supervise the use of forklift trucks, RF scanners, material handling equipment, and other warehouse machinery safely and effectively. Maintain accurate inventory management using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control systems; conduct regular cycle counts and audits. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards; conduct safety training sessions and enforce proper use of equipment. Coordinate logistics for shipping & receiving operations, ensuring timely dispatches and deliveries aligned with company goals. Utilize Microsoft Office tools to generate reports, track performance metrics, and communicate operational updates clearly across teams. Experience Proven experience managing warehouse distribution or logistics operations in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively with strong managerial communication skills. Hands-on experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and heavy lifting tools. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, and RF scanners. Knowledge of lean management practices and process improvement strategies within warehousing or distribution centers. Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures, OSHA safety standards, and materials handling protocols. Previous warehouse supervisor or managerial experience is highly preferred; proven track record of team leadership in warehouse operations.
