Employment Type:
Full-Time The Plant Manager, Distribution Center serves as a senior-level business leader responsible for overseeing a highly automated, large-scale distribution facility. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of products to customers while driving operational excellence, financial performance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires leadership capability, including experience leading salaried leaders, managing significant budgets/P&L, and championing automation within a modern distribution environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead all distribution center operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance Promote and enforce compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards Develop and execute strategic, tactical, and operational plans to meet business objectives Lead, coach, and develop salaried leaders (Supervisor and Manager level), building organizational capability and succession strength Drive a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging data and operational metrics to improve performance Champion automation and advanced warehouse technologies to improve efficiency and scalability Own and manage site-level financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L accountability Allocate labor and resources effectively to support changing customer demands and volume fluctuations Lead cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders, including corporate supply chain, to ensure alignment and execution Resolve complex, high-level operational and stakeholder issues impacting performance or customer satisfaction Ensure compliance with all company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards Oversee training and development programs to ensure workforce capability and consistency Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to drive operational excellence Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Required:
Bachelor's Degree 8-11+ years of progressive leadership experience in distribution center or warehouse operations Proven experience leading leaders (Manager level and above) in a large-scale environment Demonstrated financial acumen with direct budget and/or P&L responsibility (minimum six-figure scope; seven figures preferred) Experience operating within a highly automated warehouse or distribution center environment
Preferred :
Master's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field 12-14+ years of experience in large-scale, automated distribution operations Experience within highly automated environments supporting large retail, e-commerce, or parcel distribution networks
Candidate Profile:
Demonstrates Director-level leadership presence and decision-making capability Proven ability to develop salaried leaders (not limited to hourly workforce development) Experience resolving complex, cross-functional or stakeholder-level conflicts Strong financial and business acumen with ownership of operational budgets Acts as a champion for automation and continuous improvement initiatives Brings recent, hands-on site leadership experience within a distribution environment
Preferred Background :
Experience leading operations in highly automated distribution centers Backgrounds in advanced, high-volume distribution environments strongly preferred Experience with modern, automation-driven operations environments is a plus
