Job Description
Parks Marina is a multi-location apparel retailer in the Iowa Great Lakes seeking a seasonal team to facilitate in the receiving and restocking of retail merchandise at their Parks Marina location on East Lake Okoboji, Iowa. Key Responsibilities Receive, process, tag incoming freight from start to finish. Handle vendor relations in regards to return shipments and quality control Distribute freight to appropriate departments. Create purchase orders and hang tags. Manage and maintain inventory restock on sales floor, twice or more daily Maintain an organized and clean back stock area. Photograph all incoming merchandise for upload to e-commerce site. Performs daily duties including restocking, merchandise transfers, receiving shipment, remerchandising. Maintain an organized ledger of back stock location. Train and lead a team of seasonal staff to accomplish duties. Assist on sales floor as needed for customer service. Lend creative and educated input to the lead buyer for incoming merchandise. Qualifications and requirements Moderate to heavy lifting. Standing for extended periods of time. Valid drivers license Data Entry Willingness to learn point of sale and receiving software program. General mathematical knowledge. Knowledge of website maintenance, on-line sales and social media preferred. Ability to work as a team and willingness to help where needed. This position must able to adapt to the ever changing seasonal work environment of a growing company. 5 days, 40 hours per week with overtime in peak season. Other Duties as Needed/Requested Process and ship on-line merchandise sales. Assist lead buyer in purchasing and design as requested. General Cleaning of work space and retail space Willingness to lend opinion, talent, support, ideas, and assistance to all retail locations within the Parks Marina family. Other duties as called upon and that naturally arise as position evolves. Candidate must be willing to learn, work as a team, and be personally driven to help contribute to an innovative company. Open mindedness, general sense of humor and ability to have fun while you work are required. Pay will commensurate with experience. We are willing to train the right candidate.
