The Distribution Center Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and leading a team of exempt and non-exempt level colleagues in a fast paced, high volume, highly regulated environment. You will promote and reinforce safety and security awareness and compliance among the supervisory staff and hourly employee groups as well as plan, organize, schedule, forecast, and coordinate work in order to meet production schedules and operational goals.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Review/analyze production, quality, and other operational reports, initiating changes, as needed, to ensure a high level of service to store operations.
- Develop and implement plans, procedures, programs, and strategies utilizing Lean and Continuous Improvement activities to enhance performance, On Time Delivery, Customer Satisfaction, and improve departmental cost-per-piece.
- Prepare departmental budget and control expenditures against approved budget.
- Administer policies/procedures in a fair and consistent manner. Professionally address issues with employees utilizing the proper resources.
- Develop an accountable supervisory staff with an emphasis on team building, communication, performance accountability, and positive employee relation's management.
- Ensure maximum utilization of manpower and equipment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the DC Director.
- Shift schedule is Monday-Friday 5:30AM-3:30PM with additional flexibility for O/T to support business needs. Must support 2nd shift periodically 12:00pmEST-9:00pmEST
- Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a distribution/manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
- Prior experience working in a distribution facility that distributed pharmaceuticals is strongly desired
- Familiarity with labor management standards
- Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to build high performance teams
- Proven ability to engage and inspire colleagues Education Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $60,300.
