The Distribution Center Supervisor is responsible for managing the RaceTrac Distribution Center. This individual oversees and manages all Distribution Center functions including receiving product from vendors, auditing store orders, code dating product and maintaining the facility. The Distribution Center Supervisor manages a team of Associates, Team Leads, and Auditors who are responsible for carrying out all general warehouse duties. What You'll D o: Provides strategic oversight into RaceTrac Distributing initiatives to ultimately produce a lower cost to the organization due to efficient distribution and warehouse management Interviews, hires, trains, coaches and supervises DC leads, auditors, and associates; ensures their work aligns with the overall warehouse goals Leads, mentors, and develops direct reports; ensures their work aligns with the overall warehouse goals Appraises employees' productivity and efficiency for the purposes of recommending changes in status and communicates information to DC management Oversees all general warehouse support functions; including but not limited to, picking product for the stores, auditing store orders, code dating product maintaining the facility, and executing all ad hoc requests Oversees and manages all daily inbound and outbound inventories and ensures they are documented and organized Ensures product integrity by checking food temperatures and by following the
FEFO/FIFO
process Ensures all issues with vendors are documented and communicated to the Distribution Center Manager Serves as a point of contact for conflict management of associates and other hourly team members for escalated issues Able to communicate with other team members or departments to ensure warehouse processes are completed in a timely manner Capable of resolving escalating issues arising from operations and contact Manager or other Supply Chain area experts when required Partners with staffing agency and Talent Acquistion to solidify proper staff, and ensures performance metrics are met Using WMS unit technology to pick product within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including Dry, Cooler, and Freezer (up to -10) areas for the store orders Is able to problem solve using the WMS system reports Able to monitor workplace performance and lead initiatives to redirect or retrain associates Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on concerning items to purchasing team and operations Ensure all safety/sanitation/security measures are being executed in accordance with RaceTrac and government guidelines, including but not limited to; safety walks inspections, and BBS observations, powered equipment usage and inspections, daily vendor temperature logs, product segregation, OSHA documentation, and fire extinguisher safety compliance.
What We're Looking For:
3+ years related experience required Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Access required Preferred degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or other business related field from an accredited college or university Has the ability to lift up to 75 pounds; frequently reach up to 72 inches, and repeatedly bends, stands, and reaches while operating a pallet jack and/or forklift, retrieving items from lower shelf areas, with no or infrequent breaks Has the ability to work rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift, in a fast-paced environment Has the ability to work a flexible schedule including to varying start/finish times, weekends, and holidays Fueled by Growth, Driven by You At RaceTrac, our people make the difference.
