In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind our packing, customer service, and delivery teams, ensuring a financially sound and highly efficient operation. As our Operations Manager, you will: Lead end-to-end logistics: Oversee order fulfillment, inventory management, and transportation planning to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

Optimize efficiency, spearhead process improvements, and foster a culture of continuous improvement while managing the bottom line.

Use your strong communication skills to lead and develop our packing and delivery staff, ensuring every order is packed with precision. Duties Team & Operations Leadership People Leadership:
Directly manage and mentor 4 key direct reports who lead staff for our packing house, driver, and office teams. Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work culture, actively coaching these growing leaders to help them blossom into their roles and empower their respective departments.
Operations & Fulfillment:
Oversee the weekly fulfillment of 1,000+ orders. Coordinate all facets of the packinghouse and warehouse operations to ensure a seamless handoff between the packinghouse, internal drivers, and external shipping carriers.
Packing & Quality Control:
Manage the packing team to ensure total accuracy, proper temperature control, and high-quality presentation for every box that leaves the farm. Ensure strict compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Logistics & Routing:
Oversee internal driver schedules, fleet needs, and route efficiency. Utilize routing tools and transportation management principles to optimize delivery routes and reduce costs, while also managing workflows for external East Coast shipping.
Strategic Management & Supply Chain Process & Continuous Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and refine operational workflows, time management practices, and inter-departmental communication. Intorduce new principles and process management techniques to enhance efficiency.
Inventory & Demand Planning:
Conduct demand planning and oversee inventory control to align stock levels with customer demand, minimizing excess perishable stock while ensuring product availability.
Financial & Profitability Management:
Monitor budgeting processes, cost controls, and operational metrics to drive profitability and ensure a financially sound bottom line.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
Leverage operational data to make informed, strategic decisions across all distribution and fulfillment functions.
Required Skills & Qualifications Leadership & Mentorship:
Proven experience directly leading, coaching, and developing teams. You must be comfortable guiding direct reports to take ownership of their departments.
Cross-Functional Communication:
Exceptional communication skills. You will act as the central "information hub" connecting farm production, packing teams, drivers, outside vendors, and customers.
Operational Agility & Problem Solving:
The ability to prioritize effectively under pressure and pivot quickly when faced with unexpected routing, weather, or operational challenges.
Elite Time Management:
Highly organized with a strict commitment to hitting rigorous fulfillment deadlines for a high-volume (1,000+ orders/week) operation.
Quality Control & Precision:
Extreme attention to detail. A sharp eye for logistical compliance, temperature control, and presentation is critical for our perishable shipping standards.
Technical Proficiency:
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced digital environment. Must learn to be proficient with route optimization software (Routific), team communication platforms (Slack), and collaborative tools (Google Workspace/Docs/Sheets).
Schedule:
The standard schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Because our business experiences seasonal peaks, we do require schedule flexibility to ensure our operations run smoothly during busy holiday weeks and high-volume periods. Why Join Us?
