Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Operations and Warehouse Manager to lead our distribution and logistics functions. Responsibilities Lead and supervise warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and distribution activities to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Develop and implement process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean methodologies to enhance workflow, reduce waste, and increase productivity. Manage transportation planning and logistics coordination using transportation management systems (TMS) to optimize freight routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery times. Oversee procurement, purchasing, and materials management processes to maintain optimal inventory levels while controlling costs. Supervise warehouse staff and team managers, providing guidance on safety protocols, operational procedures, and performance expectations. Monitor supply chain performance metrics through ERP systems and supply chain analytics tools to identify areas for improvement. Coordinate with third-party logistics providers (3PL), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), freight carriers, and other partners to ensure smooth freight movement and compliance with regulations. Prepare budgets, manage expenses related to warehouse operations, and oversee profit & loss responsibilities to meet financial targets. Implement continuous improvement strategies across distribution operations by analyzing data trends and applying best practices in logistics management. Ensure compliance with safety standards, shipping & receiving protocols, and warehouse management system (WMS) procedures for a safe working environment. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse supervision or operations management within a logistics or supply chain environment. Strong understanding of profit & loss management, budgeting, and cost control principles. Demonstrated expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma. Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems (e.g., AS400), warehouse management systems (WMS), and supply chain analytics tools. Hands-on experience with inventory control, demand planning, production planning, procurement, purchasing, order fulfillment, and fleet management. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and data analysis purposes. Knowledge of distribution operations including freight handling, shipping & receiving procedures, logistics management, and materials management. Strong managerial communication skills with the ability to coordinate across departments and external partners seamlessly. Ability to analyze complex supply chain issues quickly and implement strategic solutions efficiently.
