Primarily weekdays with early starts; flexibility for evenings, weekends, and seasonal peaks as business requires Position Summary Guilford Hall Brewery is seeking an organized, hands-on Beverage Warehouse Manager to lead daily warehouse operations for our beverage distribution business. This role owns the daily movement of finished goods, receiving, storage, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, keg and packaging management, fleet maintenance, and the care and accountability of all warehouse assets. The ideal candidate combines strong operational discipline with a working knowledge of beverage alcohol handling, product freshness, and compliance, and leads a team that gets the right product to the right customer on time, every time. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations Manage the daily movement of finished goods, including transfers from production and packaging into the warehouse, internal transfers between locations, and staging of outbound product. Generate, review, and execute the daily picklist, ensuring every order is picked accurately, staged by route, and verified before loading. Oversee all receiving, put-away, picking, staging, and loading activities to ensure accurate, on-time order fulfillment. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse and cold storage environment, including proper temperature control for refrigerated product. Enforce FIFO rotation and date-code management to protect product freshness and minimize out-of-code loss. Coordinate daily route loads with the delivery team and verify orders before trucks leave the dock. Inventory Management Maintain accurate perpetual inventory in the company's inventory/brewery management system (e.g., Ekos or equivalent). Conduct scheduled cycle counts and month-end physical inventories; investigate and resolve variances. Track and report shrink, breakage, damages, and out-of-code product, and recommend corrective actions. Manage par levels and communicate stock needs and allocation constraints to sales and production. Keg and Packaging Management Track keg inventory, deposits, and returns, including coordination with keg leasing partners (e.g., Microstar) where applicable. Oversee collection of empty kegs, pallets, and returnable packaging from accounts and ensure timely return or reuse. Report on keg float, turn times, and losses. Fleet and Truck Maintenance Own the maintenance program for all delivery vehicles, including preventive maintenance schedules, repairs, inspections, and service records. Ensure drivers complete pre- and post-trip inspections and that identified issues are addressed before vehicles return to service. Coordinate with outside vendors and service providers for maintenance and repairs, and track associated costs against budget. Maintain vehicle registrations, inspections, and DOT-related documentation for delivery vehicles and drivers. Asset Management Serve as the accountable owner for all warehouse assets, including forklifts, pallet jacks, coolers and refrigeration equipment, racking, delivery vehicles, kegs, pallets, and tools. Maintain a current asset register with location, condition, maintenance history, and assigned responsibility for each item. Conduct regular asset audits to identify loss, damage, or underutilization, and recommend repairs, replacements, or disposals. Develop preventive maintenance schedules for warehouse equipment to extend asset life and minimize downtime. Provide input on capital requests and equipment replacement planning. Safety and Compliance Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, forklift/powered industrial truck certification requirements, and company safety policies. Support compliance with federal (TTB) and state alcohol regulations, including accurate records for inventory, transfers, and reporting. Lead incident reporting and investigation, and maintain required safety and training records. Build a culture of safety, reliability, and ownership. Administration and Reporting Manage the warehouse operating budget, including labor, supplies, fleet, and equipment maintenance. Produce regular KPI reports covering order accuracy, on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, shrink, labor efficiency, and fleet and equipment downtime. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for warehouse, delivery, and asset management functions. Qualifications Required 3+ years of warehouse or distribution experience. Working knowledge of inventory systems and cycle count practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive, Gmail), and general computer literacy. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Forklift certification or ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to lift up to 165 lbs with assistance (full 1/2 bbl keg) and 50+ lbs unassisted, and to work in refrigerated environments and on your feet for extended periods. Preferred Experience in beer, wine, spirits, or beverage distribution. Familiarity with Ekos, VIP, or similar beverage/brewery management software. Understanding of TTB and state alcohol distribution regulations. Experience managing keg logistics and returnable packaging. Experience managing a delivery fleet or overseeing vehicle maintenance programs. CDL Class B.
