Plant Distribution Manager Posted on May 21, 2025 May 21, 2025 by JMJ Phillip We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Plant Distribution Manager to lead and manage the distribution operations within a dynamic, high-volume manufacturing environment. This is a confidential search for a critical leadership role reporting directly to the Director of Operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, warehouse management, and operational leadership, with a demonstrated ability to drive performance, safety, and efficiency across distribution functions. Position Responsibilities Operational Oversight Manage daily plant distribution operations, ensuring timely and accurate shipment of goods Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, inventory control, and supply chain coordination Monitor and optimize workflow to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop distribution staff to meet performance and safety standards Create staffing plans and schedules to align with production and shipping demands Conduct regular team meetings, performance evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives Compliance & Safety Ensure adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards Promote a culture of safety and accountability across all shifts Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations Data & Reporting Analyze operational metrics and generate reports to support data-driven decisions Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to shipping, inventory accuracy, and throughput Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, and customer service Prerequisites 5+ years of experience in plant, warehouse, or distribution management 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial capacity within a manufacturing or logistics environment Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Excellent organizational and communication skills Certifications (Preferred, but not Required) Lean or Six Sigma Certification OSHA Safety Certification APICS, CPIM, or other supply chain/logistics credentials What the Role Offers Competitive salary ranging from $110,000 to $115,000 Performance-based incentives Comprehensive health and benefits package Leadership role with high visibility and strategic impact Opportunity to join a stable, growth-focused organization Why Williamsport?
