Pharmacy Front Clerk / Delivery Driver Prescription Drug Store —

$15.50/hour | Up to $16.50/hour with relevant experience Prescription Drug Store is hiring a dependable, friendly and safety-conscious individual for a cross-trained Pharmacy Front Clerk / Delivery Driver position. This position provides variety throughout the workday. The employee will work part of the shift assisting patients and pharmacy staff inside the pharmacy and part of the shift completing prescription deliveries. The exact split may vary according to patient needs, delivery volume and staffing. Front Clerk Responsibilities Greet patients and provide friendly, professional customer service. Answer phones and assist with routine patient needs. Operate the register and assist with prescription pickup workflow. Confirm patient contact information. Keep will-call and refrigerator areas organized. Assist with routine temperature logs. Assist with stocking, order support and cleaning. Complete register countdown procedures as assigned. Work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and other staff. Protect patient privacy and confidential information. Delivery Driver Responsibilities Review the delivery list and planned route before leaving. Verify sealed prescription packages. Securely transport prescriptions and confidential patient information. Drive safely and independently. Drive after dark when scheduled. Follow recipient-verification, signature/ID, privacy and delivery instructions. Return undeliverable prescriptions to the pharmacy. Collect approved payments when required. Securely handle cash, checks, change and receipts. Reconcile delivery funds and paperwork upon returning to the pharmacy. Stop and contact the pharmacy whenever a delivery situation appears unsafe. Driving Requirements Applicants must:

Be at least 18 years old. Hold a valid driver's license. Be legally able to operate a motor vehicle. Be able to meet applicable pharmacy driving and insurance requirements. Be willing to drive independently. Be willing to drive through closing time and after dark if needed in the winter months. Be comfortable transporting sealed prescriptions. Be comfortable transporting confidential patient information. Be comfortable handling approved patient payments and pharmacy funds. Follow pharmacy delivery, privacy, safety, recipient-verification and money-handling policies. Be willing to provide required driving credentials and complete any permitted job-related driving-record verification if selected.

Compensation & Benefits Starting Pay:
