In 2026, DH Pace is celebrating its 100 th anniversary in business. We are seeking to hire a Warehouse Manager at Overhead Door Company of the High Country™ , a DH Pace Company , in Asheville, NC! We are looking for a manager who will lead by example and actively participate with warehouse crew in receiving ordered materials, stocking inventory, maintaining parts inventory levels, shipping materials and an emphasis on routing and negotiating freight. Maintain (and enforce) a clean and safe working environment in the warehouse.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage and improve warehouse operational processes and procedures Responsible for facilities management Contact and negotiate with vendors Proficiently use software and computers to manage inventory and other automated paperwork; Excel, Email and Internet skills are required Negotiate and efficiently route freight Help lead and maintain our high focus on safety Ensure correct Bill of Materials and obtain necessary signatures Participate in, and oversee, proper material handling, ordering and maintaining stock and shipping and receiving responsibilities Schedule and oversee delivery drivers Improve individual performance through daily coaching and yearly performance reviews Hire, train and develop new employees as necessary Develop and lead effective monthly meetings
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree OR if no degree, must have 3-5 years management experience in a fast-paced warehouse organization Must have experience with Microsoft Office products and be able to navigate the computer Must be able to safely operate a forklift Must have a valid driver's license Must be able to lift 60 pounds Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and a good mechanical aptitude (proficiency exercise may be administered) Ability to effectively communicate with the customer and represent the company in a professional manner Must be able to utilize technical applications and mechanical systems Experience in conducting department meeting with hourly employees Experience with hiring, training, developing employees and performing performance reviews What We Offer Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage — available your first full month Generous paid time off plus paid holidays and floating holidays Company-paid life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability 401(k) with employer match Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options Voluntary benefits including supplemental life and critical illness coverage Employee discounts for you and your immediate family Competitive compensation with annual performance reviews Successful completion of employment verifications, background check, drug screen, and driving record (if applicable) required in advance of hire.
