Spyglass Talent Solutions, a retained recruitment firm, has been engaged by Banks Boatworks to conduct a search for a Project Manager, Repair Yard. Banks Boatworks is a repair yard and custom boat builder in Beaufort, NC, known for its craftsmanship, integrity, and exceptional service. As the yard continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee repair and refit projects from intake through delivery, ensuring every vessel leaves the yard on time and to the highest standard. The Project Manager will serve as the central point of coordination for active repair and refit projects in the yard. This role requires a hands-on leader who is equally comfortable on the dock and in front of a client — someone who can manage multiple projects simultaneously, keep crews on schedule, and deliver a seamless customer experience from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all phases of boat repair and refit projects, from initial scope and estimating through completion and delivery. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular status updates and managing expectations. Coordinate scheduling and workflow across yard technicians, subcontractors, and service departments. Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and work orders. Procure parts, materials, and equipment in coordination with vendors and suppliers. Conduct vessel walkthroughs and inspections to assess scope and ensure quality at each phase. Identify and resolve issues proactively to minimize delays and cost overruns. Maintain accurate project documentation including estimates, invoices, and job records. Uphold Banks Boatworks' standards of quality, safety, and customer service.

Skills & Experience:

5+ years of experience in marine project management, boatyard operations, or a related field. Strong working knowledge of boat systems including mechanical, electrical, fiberglass, and carpentry. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced yard environment. Experience with estimating, job costing, and project budgeting. Excellent communication and customer service skills — comfortable interfacing directly with boat owners. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to problem-solve under pressure. Familiarity with marina or boatyard management software is a plus.
