Project Manager II - Warehouse/Intralogistics Employer Novo Nordisk Location Clayton, NC Start date Mar 24, 2026 categoriesView less categories Job Details Company Job Details About the Department You will be joining Fill & Finish Expansions (FFEx), which is responsible for all major expansion activities within aseptic production, solid dosage forms, finished products, fill & finish warehousing, and QC across all production areas in Product Supply. The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approx. 20,000 of Novo Nordisk's 50,000 employees. FFEx is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan, and build all new aseptic filling capacity across Novo Nordisk to serve the needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future. The scope of projects related can range from scoping of equipment, design, install & qualification planning to a more complex facility modification or even construction. Incumbent will be responsible for ensuring project schedule, scope & budget are adhered to according to approved project plan. This role will also be responsible for generating business cases related to project & presenting to local & global management structures to attain funding & approvals. Relationships Reports to Director/Senior Project Manager - Site Capacity Upfit. Essential Functions Lead / manage the execution of capital projects according to company policies & proceduresCreates detailed business case & present to senior management within NNWork with outside design firms to bring projects (equipment &/or building) from conceptual design phase to executionMaintains effective communication & ensure alignment in coordination with multiple project teamsManage major milestones, schedules & monthly cost plans through Clarity PEM processResponsible for stakeholder management & communications to management, project team & other involved unitsAssist with any training required of personnel supporting the projectCoaching & mentoring of project teamResponsible for managing project change control process to ensure project remains within defined scope, budget & scheduleTracking of project performance, metrics & KPI'sAssist with any training required of personnel supporting the projectFollow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of dutiesOther accountabilities, as assigned Physical Requirements 0-10% overnight travel required. Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.) Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent combination of experience & education requiredAdvanced Project Management competencies obtained through relevant PM training or experience preferredMinimum five (5) years of engineering experience in facility infrastructure as well as manufacturing experience in a pharmaceutical environment preferredMinimum five (5) years of proven project / portfolio management skills with major capital projects preferredAbility to read/review design drawings (CAD) with a basic understanding of P&ID, HVAC, & electrical systems preferredUnderstanding of complicated product documentation & standard operating procedures with attention to high-level concepts preferredWorking knowledge/experience of building & utility equipment preferredDemonstrates functional/business understanding preferredDemonstrates superior written & oral communication skills preferredExtensive knowledge of project management preferredDevelops & maintains strong internal relationships preferredProficiency at problem solving, negotiation, conflict management, & interpersonal skills preferredDemonstrates leadership skills; can act as project lead & lead cross functional project teams in the development & implementation of projects preferredHas the ability to influence others on objectives & projects outcomes preferredBasic understanding of contractual documents & ability to create work plans & detailed project schedules preferredProven project management experience with direct management of multiple projects simultaneously preferredProven expertise in mentoring/development, planning/organizing, managing execution, & revising the work plan for complex problems solved by cross functional teams preferredInitiative, ability to function independently preferredGood judgment in decision making as well as very good leadership skills preferredFunctions well in team environment preferred We commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.
