TERMINAL MANAGER

Every successful delivery starts with a well-run terminal. A Major Fulfillment House seeks an experienced Terminal Manager to lead crossdock, warehouse, dispatch, and final-mile delivery operations in Greensboro. Bring the leadership to keep freight moving, the judgment to solve problems, and the discipline to deliver on service commitments.

LEAD FROM THE FLOOR. MANAGE BY THE NUMBERS.

Direct inbound receiving, sorting, staging, loading, and outbound dispatch. Align staffing, fleet availability, and delivery schedules to keep operations running safely and efficiently. Hire, train, and develop warehouse, dispatch, and delivery personnel. Coordinate with independent contractors and delivery partners to maintain high service standards and reliable coverage. Track on-time delivery, shipping accuracy, labor productivity, delivery costs, and claims. Turn performance data into practical improvements that reduce errors, control costs, and strengthen service. Resolve delivery exceptions, cargo damage, and customer concerns promptly. Establish clear procedures, address root causes, and follow corrective actions through to completion.

MAKE SAFETY THE STANDARD. MAKE ACCOUNTABILITY THE CULTURE.

Maintain applicable OSHA and DOT compliance, monitor ELD and hours-of-service requirements where applicable, and reinforce safe freight handling and fleet practices through training, audits, and coaching. Set clear expectations. Build capable supervisors. Keep the team informed and prepared for every shift.

BRING A RECORD OF RESULTS.

Previous management experience and dispatch experience required. Three to five or more years of last-mile delivery operations experience preferred, with a strong background in warehouse, crossdock, distribution, or transportation operations.

BRING SOLID TECHNICAL SKILLS

Working proficiency with logistics software, route optimization tools, warehouse management systems, and performance reporting. Strong planning, problem-solving, communication, and vendor management skills. Clean driving record and flexibility to support operating schedules, as needed. Forklift operating skills and familiarity with material-handling equipment a big plus. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, but not required. Best degree is a strong record of demonstrated success.
