Job Description

The Position:
The General Manager, reporting to the President, is responsible for overall management of the operation and facility. Will oversee all business activities, support staff development, enhance efficiency, maintain relationships with clients, enhance the organization's image, and meet overall growth objectives.
Your Day-to-Day:
Accountable for the safe, efficient, and economical operation of the Business in the areas of staffing, warehouse operations, drivers and production employees. maintenance of the facility and equipment, implementation of safety, security, housekeeping and sanitation programs, customer service and inventory control. Provide leadership and strategic visions to the operation by daily oversight of all facets of the operation as well as developing plans for the operation. Communicate with President of issues affecting costs, service capabilities, effectiveness and efficiencies. Responsible for building and achieving P&L and KPI goals for facility; responsible for reporting progress of same. Develop, prioritize and direct programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of the operation. Handle escalations of challenging issues related to clients of all sizes; ensure client needs are met or exceeded while also protecting the interests of the company. Create and execute inventory procedures to include cycle counts. Establish productive relationships with internal partners, including Executive Vice President, Production Manager, QA Manager, Purchasing Manager and CFO. Support the hiring, onboarding, training and development of all warehouse staff, drivers, and office staff. Ensure compliance with OSHA, USDA, FDA and TDA. Maintain physical condition of warehouse and all rolling stock by planning, inspecting and issuing work order requests for repair or replacements What You Bring to the
Table:
Experience in food service industry to include processing and distribution. Two plus (5+) years of demonstrated supervisory experience required in a distribution atmosphere. Working knowledge of Inventory control, cycle counts, and a proven track record of inventory accuracy. Proficient with all Microsoft applications. Experience with HACCP programs and regulatory audits including FDA and USDA. Must demonstrate high level of interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work well under pressure and problem solve across a variety of business processes. Able to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines. Strong emphasis on organizational skills and attention to detail.

Full-time Pay:
$90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
