As the Senior Transportation Manager, you will oversee a multi-location operation with up to 100 company drivers. Your focus will be on P&L, asset management, safety, customer service, driver onboarding and operations staff development. What you'll do on a typical day: Maintain responsibility for overall P&L to meet established budgets and forecasts Ensure the effectiveness of the operation's communication, interaction and relationship with company drivers Oversee the management of tractor maintenance, compliance and service delivery Handle 1-2 on-site managers who supervise a total of 20-30 employees Track operational performance including on-time pick-up and delivery, volume, equipment balance and empty miles Ensure driver recruiting and retention meets established fleet size goals What you need to succeed at

GXO:

At a minimum, you'll need: 5 years of transportation management experience Advanced knowledge of DOT rules and regulations Solid experience in the principles and practices of the transportation industry It'd be great if you also have: Bachelor's degree 10 years of experience in the transportation industry Dedicated Fleet Management experience Ability to find opportunities to increase accuracy, optimize resources and implement solutions We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
