Location:
Dallas-Fort Worth Area, TX We are currently working with a rapidly growing logistics organization that is expanding its operations and customer base. They are looking for a hands-on Warehouse Manager to lead receiving, inventory control, material flow, equipment readiness, safety, and day-to-day warehouse performance in a fast-paced, multi-client environment.
Position Description:
Lead day-to-day warehouse operations across receiving, putaway, inventory control, material movement, and production support. Spend the majority of the day on the warehouse floor, ensuring processes are followed and driving safety, quality, productivity, and accountability. Oversee inbound receiving, including unloading, inspection, counting, putaway, dock scheduling, and work prioritization. Maintain inventory accuracy across customer accounts through disciplined location management, cycle counting, and WMS data integrity. Own warehouse KPIs including receiving performance, inbound deliveries versus labor hours, inventory accuracy, picks per hour, and MHE utilization. Manage material-handling equipment readiness, inspections, preventive maintenance, operator certifications, and safe equipment use. Coordinate facility maintenance, housekeeping, building utilization, access, security, and compliance requirements. Lead, coach, and develop receiving, inventory control, maintenance, and material-handling personnel while identifying staffing needs and resolving operational issues. Drive SOP adherence, safety, 6S/continuous improvement, and practical process improvements throughout the warehouse.
Background Required:
2+ years of warehouse management experience; experience in a JIT, multi-client, 3PL, kitting, assembly, or value-added environment is preferred. Strong working knowledge of receiving, inventory control, staffing, warehouse KPIs, safety, and material-handling equipment. Experience with a warehouse management system (WMS) and Microsoft Office; familiarity with 6S, Six Sigma, or other continuous-improvement methods is beneficial. Self-motivated, energetic, detail-oriented, respectful, and calm under pressure with the ability to work effectively with different personalities. Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to take action, provide updates, and continuously improve warehouse execution.
