Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations and lead our team at Highline Building Supplies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily activities, ensuring efficient order fulfillment, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of warehouse management systems, supply chain management, and a commitment to continuous improvement practices. Work hours are from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. As well as Saturday's from 10am to 2pm. Job Duties Include but not limited to: Oversee all daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping/receiving processes. Lead, supervise, and train warehouse staff, providing ongoing support to ensure high performance and a collaborative team environment. Load/unload trailers without causing damage, safely operate forklifts, and sort/move items while verifying descriptions and quantities for total accuracy. Implement and maintain effective warehouse systems to optimize efficiency. Maintain precise records of inventory levels, orders, and shipments; notify management of any load discrepancies or damaged items. Monitor profit/loss (P&L) metrics and develop targeted strategies for cost reduction while maintaining premium service quality. Drive continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate transportation planning to ensure timely delivery of goods. Collaborate with supply chain management teams and manage relationships with NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) partners to streamline logistics. Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Perform routine safety inspections on warehouse equipment and keep the loading area clean and organized.
