Primary Purpose:
The purpose of the School Nutrition Warehouse Delivery Person is to perform product receiving, handling, storing, and delivery functions in accordance with FDA and local health department guidelines. These duties are to be accomplished in the safest and timeliest manner to ensure product quality and security.
Qualifications:
Previous warehouse/delivery experience preferred
Education/Certification:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to obtain a Texas-approved Manager's Food Handler Certification. Ability to complete 6 hours of continuing education in Nutrition, Operations, Administration, and Communication/Marketing annually as required by the Texas Department of Agriculture. Certified at or working towards the Texas Association for School Nutrition Level V Certification. Ability to obtain forklift certification. Valid and current
Texas Driver's License-Class C Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Safely handle and properly store all products received to ensure the best rotation and protect product quality. Operate and maintain vehicles and equipment to prevent loss or damage and to ensure safety Ensure quality work production in a timely manner with safety, accuracy, and protection of product Interact and communicate with students, the public, and other District personnel to maintain cooperative relationships. Maintain clean, sanitary, safe, and pest-free vehicles and warehouse/office facilities. Perform duties including food preparation, delivery, and cleanup at special events during and after regular working hours. Perform any other duties as assigned by the

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, walking, pushing, and pulling; Moderate lifting and carrying; some stooping, bending, and kneeling. The School Nutrition Warehouse is a cold storage facility with temperatures ranging from -19 to 70 degrees.
