In the role of Distribution Section Manager, we'll count on you to: Take responsibility for operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support Function as Project Manager and take responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilities Take administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections Be involved in marketing planning, proposals and interviews Be directly involved with industrial and public clients in marketing, project production and related issues See that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management system Implement, monitor and support company policy Select, train, develop and manage technical personnel Manage and develop multidiscipline teams Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Preferably Electrical, but other degrees will be taken into consideration along with background and experience. Professional Engineering (PE) License. A license/certification (PMP or similar) is a plus.
Experience with industry software including:
CYMCAP, ETAP, EasyPower, Polywater Pull Planner, PLS-CADD, Spida Calc, Pole Foreman, etc. 4+ years of distribution design experience including planning studies, coordination studies, wiring sizing, and a general understanding of constructability. 10+ years of overall experience including prior project management and staff management experience. Excellent client management skills, marketing, and business development skills in addition to contacts/relationships with power delivery clients. Previous experience managing staff, clients, contracts, and hiring staff for an engineering consulting firm. Self-driven and motivated individual who can network, generate new work, recruit, and grow a team. #LI-KJ1 Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience A minimum of 10 years experience Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role Strong communication and listening skills Ability to handle multiple assignments Good leadership and organizational skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company. The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
