In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of warehouse distribution, ensuring seamless inventory control, efficient process improvement, and safe materials handling. Responsibilities Supervise daily warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving, inventory management, and materials handling to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Implement process improvements using lean management principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste across distribution center activities. Manage inventory control through the use of warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and AS400 to maintain accurate stock levels. Operate or oversee the operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts and heavy lifting machinery safely and efficiently. Coordinate logistics activities with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to optimize distribution center operations. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct regular safety audits to promote a secure working environment. Experience Proven experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles within distribution centers or logistics environments. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, inventory control, and materials handling. Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems, RF scanners, and AS400. Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively with excellent managerial communication skills and team leadership qualities. Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as lean management to streamline workflows. Ability to operate or oversee the operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment safely. Pay:
$30.00 - $38.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
