JOB SUMMARY
This position is a hands-on operational and strategic leadership role and requires a thoughtful management style to help lead the production team. The Warehouse Operations and Logistics Manager is expected to be visible on the floor, monitor workflows, lead daily stand-ups, and ensure standards are consistently applied. This position is responsible for managing the operating budget, developing organizational structure, and reporting performance to the executive team using clear, data-driven metrics and results.
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Build a flexible, high-performing warehouse organization. Ensure all service commitments are consistently met. Build an operational model that includes checkpoints throughout the day. Set clear productivity standards and manage performance consistently. Oversee receiving, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and returns. Own Inventory and cycle counts, and reduce slow-moving inventory. Maintain a hands-on floor presence and resolve issues in real time. Align staffing with forecasted volume and develop cross-trained teams to support seasonal demand. Optimize warehouse layout, storage capacity, and product flow. Maintain rigorous safety and compliance standards, including oversight of PPE, equipment, traffic safety, and incident follow-up. Streamline operational systems and automate manual processes. Define site KPIs and establish performance dashboards. Automate reporting to enable timely, data-driven decisions. Integrate the WMS with the existing ERP. Develop SOPs and training programs Lead performance reviews.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • 6+ years of experience in warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment operations, including management and experience in a WMS-enabled environment.
  • Knowledge and commitment to OSHA Standards, warehouse safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience managing operating budgets and improving productivity.
  • Strong operational data skills, including building and managing dashboards and using ERPs.
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, industrial engineering, business, or equivalent experience.
