JOB DESCRIPTION
Inventory Supervisor Salary is negotiable depending on qualification and experience starting at $75,000 The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing inventory control procedures, ensuring accuracy in stock levels, and maintaining efficient inventory operations. This role involves supervising warehouse personnel, coordinating cycle counts, directing day-to-day activities, acting as a redundant supervisor for second shift, understanding and sometimes involved in general warehouse responsibilities like; shipping, receiving, picking, etc., implementing process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency. The Inventory Supervisor works closely with warehouse personnel, production leadership, and the shipping leadership to resolve discrepancies and optimize inventory management. 5 Traits to be Successful - Leadership Accuracy Time management Attention to detail Problem solver Primary Duties & Responsibilities Supervise and support the Inventory team, ensuring all inventory processes are performed accurately and efficiently. Occasionally cover supervision for other warehouse shifts/functions Oversee and execute daily cycle counts of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and non-conforming materials per schedule. Analyze variances between system inventory and actual stock, investigating discrepancies and implementing corrective actions. Utilize ERP software to monitor inventory transactions, review stock levels, and track inventory movement. Ensure materials are stored properly and in designated warehouse locations, reducing misplaced or misclassified inventory. Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count, inspect, and weigh materials for accurate stock assessment. Report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, and over/under amounts to management on a weekly basis. Work closely with warehouse personnel and production supervisors to improve inventory accuracy and streamline operations. Lead root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies and recommend process improvements to eliminate recurring issues. Maintain compliance with safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies. Ensure all inventory team members are trained in proper inventory procedures and warehouse safety guidelines. Support warehouse operations by operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. Education, Experience & Skills Required Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain management, with at least 3 year in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP, MRP), Google and/or Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy. Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail. Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills, with the ability to train and mentor employees. Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Professional attitude with the ability to adapt to change and problem-solve effectively. Forklift certification is a plus. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Regularly required to stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility. Frequently required to lift up to 75 lbs. Occasional stooping, kneeling, and carrying of inventory items. Regular use of computers, ERP systems, and phone equipment.
