Job DescriptionAs the Logistics Manager, you'll have the opportunity to proactively drive the best practices and generating improvements to the logistics network. This position will work closely with customers, sales, and operations to optimize the efficiency of the loading and delivery network while optimizing logistics costs in concert with improving value service. The Logistics Manager will lead the development and implementation of evolutionary logistics concepts as well as support daily customer requirements and solutions 
Primary Responsibilities:
Own the customer experience by managing finished good storage, loading and delivery.

Ensure DOT compliant deliveries for Class A drivers and equipmentMaintain preventative maintenance of equipment and manage service needs for the driver fleet.

Own and lead all delivery operations to ensure safe, efficient, and predictable execution.

Track and report key performance indicators related to safety, quality, efficiency, and on time in full.

Establish, maintain, and support Standard Operating Procedures for loading and delivery to meet customer expectations.

Lead the investigation, development, and implementation of the logistics network design.

Independently develop strategies to improve logistical efficiencies and work as a team with the operations to ensure successful deployment of those strategiesChampion customer solutions related to logistics and quickly communicated issues and opportunities to improve customer relationshipsLead the communication between operations, customers, and sales in regards to logistics performance and solutionsLead or participate in cross-functional projects with internal and external partners to improve all aspects of material flow and logisticsFunction as the backup for Director of LogisticsBuild, coach, and develop leads and team members to create a strong leadership pipeline.

Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement at all levels.

Administer company policies fairly and consistently, providing coaching and corrective action when necessary.

Support onboarding, training, and ongoing performance development for team members.

Ensure strong communication and alignment across shifts to maintain operational continuity.

May perform other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Transportation/Logistics or other business-related discipline is required.

Minimum of 5 years in progressive logistics experienceExperience in a customer facing management role with Third Party Logistics company or a logistics sales based position is highly desirableExperience with pool distribution, cross docking, and/or distribution managementExperience with carrier management, contractual/pricing negotiations, domestic and international transportation laws and compliance, and fleet managementCareer experience in transportation, logistics, distribution, materials management, regulatory compliance, cross-functional teams, project management and change managementExperience in all facets of fleet safety and compliance inclusive of FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, and state regulationsComprehensive background and experience in defining and executing support tools and technology to optimize and integrate all elements of materials, planning, logistics, and distributionWorking knowledge of all modes of transportation inclusive of private fleet, materials management, loading practices and inventory controlMust have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite inclusive of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access as well as optimizations software toolAbility to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization - from plant level employee to corporate executivesAbility to travel 10 percent, as requiredProven track record of successful implementation, continuous improvement and leadershipStrategic thinker that looks for new opportunities, methods and approachesFast-Paced, growth-oriented and looking for the new frontierAdditional InformationThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$130,000 + bonus + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
