Company Description DO&CO is seeking an experienced Senior Furniture Logistics Manager to lead the planning, coordination and execution of furniture logistics for the Formula 1 at USA races This is a senior operational role responsible for the end-to-end management of furniture and associated equipment , from initial planning and procurement through transportation, delivery, site installation, live-event support and final de-rig. Working across multiple hospitality environments, the successful candidate will oversee complex furniture movements and coordinate internal teams, suppliers, logistics partners, contractors and venue stakeholders to ensure all furniture requirements are delivered on time, to specification and to the highest presentation standards . The role requires an experienced logistics professional who is comfortable operating within a high-pressure international event environment and managing multiple workstreams against demanding race-weekend deadlines. Key Responsibilities - Furniture Logistics Strategy & Planning Lead the end-to-end furniture logistics strategy for the Formula 1 event, covering planning, procurement, transportation, delivery, installation, operation and de-rig. Develop detailed furniture logistics plans, schedules, delivery programmes and critical paths aligned with the overall event production schedule. Establish furniture requirements across hospitality areas, including VIP spaces, dining areas, lounges, offices, back-of-house facilities and operational areas. Develop comprehensive furniture inventories, asset registers and location schedules. Coordinate furniture quantities, specifications, layouts and delivery requirements with design, production and hospitality teams. Identify logistical risks and develop contingency plans to protect the event programme. Supplier & Contractor Management Lead relationships with furniture suppliers, rental companies, freight partners, transport providers, installation contractors and specialist vendors. Manage supplier performance, ensuring agreed quantities, specifications, delivery windows and quality standards are achieved. Coordinate multiple suppliers and contractors operating simultaneously across the event site. Review logistics requirements, delivery schedules and installation methodologies with suppliers ahead of the event. Resolve supplier and contractor issues quickly and escalate significant risks where required. Ensure all external partners understand and comply with site rules, access requirements, health and safety procedures and operational schedules. Transportation & Freight Oversee the movement of furniture from suppliers, warehouses and staging locations to the event site. Coordinate local and international transportation requirements where applicable. Manage delivery schedules, vehicle requirements, loading plans and site access arrangements. Coordinate timed deliveries within restricted venue and circuit access windows. Ensure furniture is appropriately packaged, protected, labelled and tracked throughout transportation. Maintain accurate records of furniture movements and deliveries. Site Operations & Installation Lead furniture logistics during the build period and coordinate the movement of furniture across the event site. Establish and manage furniture receiving, storage, distribution and installation processes. Coordinate installation teams to ensure furniture is positioned accurately according to approved layouts and floor plans. Work closely with production, construction, design and hospitality teams to ensure furniture installation aligns with overall site readiness. Conduct furniture checks and inspections prior to guest arrival. Ensure furniture is clean, undamaged, correctly positioned and presented to the required premium hospitality standard. Manage last-minute furniture changes and operational requests without compromising critical deadlines. Race Weekend Operations Act as the senior operational point of contact for furniture logistics throughout the Formula 1 event. Maintain oversight of furniture across all relevant hospitality and operational areas. Coordinate rapid replacements, relocations and additional furniture requirements during live operations. Respond proactively to operational issues that could affect guest experience. Maintain clear communication with hospitality, event operations, production, facilities and venue teams. Ensure furniture remains appropriately positioned, maintained and presented throughout the event. De-Rig & Post-Event Logistics Lead the furniture de-rig and removal programme following the event. Coordinate the safe collection, packing, loading and transportation of furniture and associated equipment. Manage returns to suppliers, warehouses and other designated locations. Ensure furniture is inspected, counted and reconciled against asset inventories. Record damaged, missing or surplus items and coordinate appropriate follow-up. Oversee the timely clearance of furniture within venue and circuit deadlines. Team Leadership Lead and coordinate furniture logistics teams throughout the planning, build, live-event and de-rig phases. Allocate responsibilities and establish clear operational structures for site teams. Brief teams and contractors on daily priorities, delivery schedules and site requirements. Provide leadership during high-pressure periods and ensure teams remain focused on critical deadlines. Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, communication and operational excellence. Stakeholder Management Work closely with senior DO&CO stakeholders, event production, hospitality, culinary, design, procurement and operations teams. Coordinate with circuit management, venue representatives and other event stakeholders. Participate in production meetings, logistics meetings, site coordination meetings and daily operational briefings. Provide regular updates on furniture movements, delivery status, risks, issues and outstanding requirements. Manage competing stakeholder requirements while protecting the overall event schedule and guest experience. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have: Significant experience in furniture logistics, event logistics, production logistics or large-scale hospitality operations . Proven experience managing complex furniture or equipment movements across large event sites. Experience working on major international events, sporting events, luxury hospitality projects or temporary event environments . Strong experience managing suppliers, contractors and logistics partners. Excellent understanding of transportation, warehousing, delivery scheduling and site logistics. Proven experience managing teams and multiple operational workstreams. Strong organisational and project-management skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities. Ability to work effectively under significant time pressure and within highly compressed event schedules. Strong commercial awareness and experience managing logistics budgets and supplier costs would be advantageous.
