Duties Manage the entire parts inventory, including sourcing, ordering, and stock control using advanced inventory management systems and ERP platforms. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing, lead times, and supply chain terms that benefit the dealership. Oversee warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving, storage organization, and equipment repair to ensure safety and efficiency. Coordinate with automotive service teams to ensure timely availability of parts for repairs and maintenance, utilizing automotive diagnostics and vehicle systems knowledge. Implement demand planning strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce excess stock, and improve parts sourcing accuracy. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools for parts administration and equipment maintenance scheduling. Lead procurement management efforts by evaluating supplier performance, managing sourcing initiatives, and ensuring compliance with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) standards. Supervise logistics operations related to shipping & receiving, warehouse experience, and inventory control to streamline internal communication and data entry processes. Maintain detailed records of parts transactions, pricing adjustments, and internal reports to support continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements Proven experience in supply chain management within an automotive dealership or manufacturing environment. Strong supplier management experience with negotiation skills that secure favorable terms. Mechanical knowledge of automotive parts, accessories, vehicle systems, and auto body repair processes. Familiarity with inventory management systems such as AS400 or similar ERP platforms; proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is essential. Hands-on warehouse experience including shipping & receiving procedures and forklift operation certification preferred. Knowledge of procurement management practices including sourcing strategies and demand planning techniques. Ability to utilize automotive diagnostics tools and understand OEM specifications for parts sourcing. Excellent internal communication skills to coordinate across departments effectively while maintaining high customer service standards.
