Job Description:
The Materials Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all materials-related activities including purchasing, inventory control, logistics, warehousing, and material flow to support production and customer delivery requirements. This role ensures the right materials are available at the right time, in the right quantities, while maintaining cost efficiency, safety, and compliance. The Materials Manager partners closely with production, engineering, quality, and finance to drive operational excellence.
Key accountabilities:
Develop and execute material planning strategies to support production schedules and customer demand Lead purchasing, inventory control, receiving, shipping, and warehouse operations Ensure accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, physical inventories, and ERP system controls Manage supplier relationships, including performance, lead times, pricing, and quality expectations Monitor and control inventory turns and obsolete material Lead coach, and develop materials, warehouse, and logistic team members Participate in cross-functional problem solving and root cause analysis Identify opportunities for improvement in the quality process, implement new methodologies, and monitor their effectiveness. Attend training sessions regularly to continue professional growth and development Your profile: Bachelor's degree in business, supply change management operafinance, economics, supply chain or related field 5+ years of experience in pricing, demand planning, revenue management, or commercial analytics Strong analytic and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets Proficiency in excel and data visualization tools; experience with ERP/CRM systems Excellent communication and presentations skills
