Analyze the interaction between AutoStore, Pick & Flow, and other material handling systems to evaluate overall operational effectiveness.
Collect and analyze operational data related to throughput, inventory movement, order fulfillment, productivity, and system utilization.
Observe current workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance system performance.
Partner with Operations, Materials, Engineering, Information Technology, and Continuous Improvement teams to understand business needs and process challenges.
Document current-state processes and map material flow throughout the depot network.
Conduct root cause analysis on operational bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or integration challenges between systems.
Research industry best practices and emerging technologies related to warehouse automation, inventory management, and distribution operations.
Develop recommendations and business cases for process improvements, automation enhancements, or system optimization opportunities.
Assist with testing, implementation, and validation of approved process improvements.
Create reports, dashboards, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Monitor and measure results of implemented improvements using key performance indicators (KPIs).Support special projects focused on improving inventory accuracy, order fulfillment performance, and operational efficiency within depot operations.
Present project outcomes and recommendations to operations leadership and cross-functional teams. Experience Required Candidates must be pursuing (at minimum) a Bachelor's degree Preferred Qualifications Pay Transparency The annual salary for this role is USD $20.34 - plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.) For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview. Job Purpose The Depot Operations & Materials Technology Intern will support continuous improvement initiatives within CNH's depot and materials operations by evaluating the performance and integration of warehouse automation technologies, including AutoStore and Pick & Flow systems. This role will work closely with depot operations, materials management, engineering, and technology stakeholders to understand current processes, analyze system performance, identify optimization opportunities, and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, inventory flow, and operational effectiveness. The intern will play an active role in assessing how these technologies work together and supporting projects that enhance productivity across the distribution network.
