And we have no plans of slowing down. Job Summary The Service Center Manager is responsible for the overall daily operations and performance of an assigned logistics service center. This role oversees warehouse activities, package sorting, dispatch execution, last-mile delivery support, staffing, safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance to ensure packages are processed and dispatched safely, accurately, and on time. The Service Center Manager leads the service center operations team, including supervisors, warehouse associates, dispatch personnel, and other operational staff. This role also works closely with Delivery Service Providers (DSPs), drivers, regional leadership, and cross-functional teams to achieve service-level expectations, improve operational efficiency, and support business growth. Key Responsibilities Manage all daily service center operations, including receiving, scanning, sorting, dispatching, returns, and outbound package flow. Ensure packages are processed and dispatched according to established schedules, operational standards, and service commitments. Oversee daily last-mile delivery operations and ensure routes are prepared and dispatched on time. Manage and coordinate DSPs, drivers, dispatch teams, and warehouse operations to support route readiness and delivery performance. Monitor and manage operational KPIs, including on-time delivery, OFD performance, productivity, backlog, aging packages, scan compliance, delivery quality, and service exceptions. Analyze operational performance and implement corrective action plans to address recurring issues and performance gaps. Manage package backlog, aging inventory, lost packages, damaged shipments, and other operational exceptions to ensure timely resolution. Lead and develop supervisors, warehouse employees, dispatchers, and operations staff. Manage employee scheduling, attendance, labor allocation, training, coaching, performance management, and workforce planning. Establish clear performance expectations and hold teams accountable for operational results. Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety standards, security requirements, and operational procedures. Monitor package scanning accuracy, inventory control, and process compliance throughout the service center. Investigate significant package discrepancies, loss, damage, service failures, and handling errors, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Conduct daily operational meetings and communicate priorities, performance expectations, staffing needs, and business updates. Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports and provide performance updates to regional leadership. Manage warehouse organization, cleanliness, equipment readiness, and overall facility efficiency. Oversee route planning, capacity management, and labor planning based on package volume and delivery demand. Lead operational recovery efforts during volume surges, service disruptions, weather events, staffing shortages, or transportation delays. Support peak-season planning, hiring, onboarding, training, and workforce capacity planning. Partner with HR on employee relations, performance management, staffing, and workforce matters. Partner with Quality Control, Claims, Customer Service, Transportation, and other teams to resolve operational and service issues. Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, delivery performance, and overall service center efficiency. Manage relationships with DSPs and external operational partners and address service or performance concerns. Ensure compliance with all applicable company policies and federal, state, and local safety regulations. Serve as the primary operational leader for the assigned service center and take ownership of overall site performance. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, parcel delivery, e-commerce, distribution, or last-mile operations. 2+ years of supervisory or management experience leading frontline operations teams. Strong experience managing warehouse, fulfillment, distribution, or delivery operations. Strong understanding of warehouse sorting, dispatching, routing, scanning, and last-mile delivery processes. Experience managing DSPs, carriers, contractors, or external operational partners is preferred. Strong leadership, people management, coaching, and team development skills. Ability to manage operational KPIs, analyze performance trends, and develop improvement plans. Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and decision-making skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment. Strong sense of ownership and accountability for site performance. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and operational reporting tools. Experience with WMS, TMS, routing, scanning, dispatch, or other logistics systems is preferred. Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak seasons. Education Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered. Preferred Experience Last-mile parcel delivery operations. E-commerce logistics and fulfillment.
