Supply Chain Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead end-to-end materials flow and inventory performance for our operations team in Shreveport, Louisiana. This role is responsible for aligning purchasing, production planning, warehousing, and shipping activities so customer demand is met efficiently and on schedule. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, sound inventory control practices, and the ability to coordinate across plant, customer service, and corporate partners to keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Direct daily supply chain activities across purchasing, inventory control, production support, warehouse operations, and outbound logistics to improve efficiency and service levels. Oversee material availability for production by coordinating procurement of raw materials and plant supplies with operational priorities and demand requirements. Develop and adjust production-related plans in partnership with plant leadership to support timely order fulfillment and effective use of resources. Manage inventory accuracy through transaction oversight, cycle count programs, reconciliations, and analysis aimed at maintaining reliable on-hand balances and inventory turn goals. Organize warehouse processes to promote safe material handling, proper storage practices, efficient movement of goods, and appropriate stock rotation. Act as the key point of coordination between corporate scheduling and the plant by communicating schedule updates and aligning changes with production, quality, and maintenance teams. Partner with customer service and plant operations to respond to order changes, delivery commitments, and production timing needs. Maintain operational reports and monitoring tools that provide visibility into supply chain performance and support informed decision-making. Participate in reviewing production performance, assist with resolving product-related issues, and support plant leadership with additional operational priorities as needed. Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university. At least 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, purchasing, or inventory management within a leadership or management role. Demonstrated background in purchasing management, material procurement, and related supply chain activities. Strong knowledge of inventory control methods, transaction accuracy, cycle counting, and reconciliation practices. Experience coordinating production schedules, material flow, and shipping activities in a manufacturing or plant environment. Ability to work effectively across multiple departments, including operations, customer service, quality, maintenance, and corporate planning. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage changing priorities. Relevant certifications or supply chain qualifications are considered an advantage.
